Past analyses

Learn how to access and utilize past analyses in the database, including how to search, filter, and sort through past results.

After running an analysis, the results are automatically saved when completed. Use the Past Analyses button to view your past analyses. Use this to review, compare, and collaborate using past analyses.

By default, all the database's analyses are displayed, so you can cross-reference and view other analyses that have been completed.

The following actions are available on the Past Analyses panel:

Search analyses
Open text field that allows you to search past analyses by name.
Filter
The dropdown menu allows you to filter for past analyses that have been Created by anyone, or by yourself. It also allows you to filter for analyses that have had a Route Analysis or are Favorites.
Sorting
Dropdown menu that allows you to sort past analyses in alphabetical order (Name: A - Z) or in reverse alphabetical order (Name: Z - A) or by Last modified, Newest created or Oldest created.

Past Analyses panel

The Past Analyses panel allows users to manage and interact with past analyses through various options such as opening, exporting, and modifying analyses directly from the panel.

Once the past analyses are displayed in the panel, there are multiple actions you can take. Either use the menu in the action bar (three dots) or right-click a past analysis to open the contextual menu.

The following options are available in this view:
Open

To open a past analysis you can either double-click the analysis in the panel, use the Open feature in the action bar, or right-click an analysis and click Open.

Open in a new tab
Load the analysis in a new tab.
Reuse parameters for new analysis
Parameters from an existing analysis can be used as a starting point for a new analysis. Clicking this populates all the parameters of the selected past analysis into the Origin and Destinations input area.
Export data (.csv)
Export the CSV file of the past analysis. Exporting to CSV runs on a server. A notification banner indicating exports to CSV will be emailed to you, along with an email informing you when the CSV is ready. Once the CSV is ready, you can save it locally.
Copy input as JSON
Copy the input parameters as JSON to make an API call or send to the Support team.
Rename
Rename the past analysis.
Add to your favorites / Remove from favorites
Add a past analysis as your favorite to make filtering easier. If an analysis has already been added as your favorite, the option to Remove from favorites displays in the contextual menu.
Label as
Filter past analyses by labels. Use this feature to add, create new, or use pre-existing labels.
  • Create new: Create new labels to use when filtering through past analyses.

  • Manage labels: View existing labels, or rename/delete labels. Any changes to labels updates all past analyses associated with that label.

Remove
Remove the entire analysis from the Past Analyses panel.
Details
Populates the Analysis Details dialogue. This dialogue displays when the analysis was Last Modified, who it was Modified by, when it was Created and by whom, as well as any additional Comments.
Note: You can only add a comment to analyses you have created.

Rerunning an O/D analysis from Past Analyses

Learn how to reuse parameters from past analyses to run a new analysis.

To open a saved analysis without loading the analysis to reuse the parameters:
  1. Click the Past Analyses button.
  2. Select your desired analyses.
  3. Click the three dot menu and select Reuse parameters for new analysis.
  4. From the analysis settings, you can Edit the Journey Filters.
  5. After changing the settings you want, click Run O/D Analysis.

Removed analyses

The Removed Analyses panel provides options to search, filter, and sort analyses that have been deleted or removed.

The Removed Analyses panel includes any analyses that were deleted or removed from the Past Analyses panel. Like the Past Analyses panel, you have the following options:

Search analyses
Open text field that allows you to search past analyses by name.
Filter
The dropdown menu allows you to filter for past analyses that have been Created by anyone, or by yourself. It also allows you to filter for analyses that have had a Route Analysis or are Favorites.
Sorting
Dropdown menu that allows you to sort past analyses in alphabetical order (Name: A - Z) or in reverse alphabetical order (Name: Z - A) or by Last modified, Newest created or Oldest created.

Restoring a removed analysis

You can restore an analysis that has been removed from the database for more than 30 days.

Analyses that are removed for more than 30 days are automatically cleared from the database. To restore a past analysis:
  1. From the Removed Analysis panel, select the analysis you want to restore, then click Restore.
  2. Go to the Past Analyses panel to find the analysis.
