How is the NAICS code determined?

The NAICS code is determined by the primary industry of the fleet operating the vehicle, using the fleet account registration data provided to Geotab.

NAICS codes are derived from the company that purchased and installed the telematics device. These codes represent the industry classification of the company that owns the device (and likely the vehicle). We use a combination of internal and external data sources to determine the appropriate industry classification.
