How does Altitude validate AADT accuracy?

Accuracy metrics are published by road type and vehicle group with segment-level prediction intervals, not a single aggregated number.

Altitude publishes accuracy metrics broken out by road type and by vehicle group, not a single aggregated number across all roads and all vehicles. Reported metrics include R-squared (coefficient of determination) and MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) for each combination.

Each segment-level estimate is accompanied by an asymmetric 90% prediction interval, reflecting the real shape of uncertainty for that segment. Altitude also performs cross-year, cross-vehicle-group, and cross-segment coherence validation. Altitude excludes estimates that fail these checks from delivery.

Full methodology, validation procedures, and benchmark comparisons are documented in an upcoming AADT Technical White Paper.
